Google Chrome

MOST POPULAR SOFTWARE - Although still less popular than the Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer, but this is a web browser is a mainstay Google, named Google Chrome. The Google Chrome is a web browser developed by using the WebKit layout engine.

First time released on September 2, 2008 Google Chrome was a beta version for Microsoft Windows, and the public stable release was on December 11, 2008. The name Google Chrome derived from the graphical user interface frame, or "CHROME" of web browsers.
As of June 2011, according to StatCounter, Google Chrome was the third most widely used browser with 20.65% worldwide usage share of web browsers.

In September 2008, Google released a large portion the source code of Chrome, including its V8 JavaScript engine as an open source project entitled Chromium that enabling third-party developers to study the underlying source code and to help port the browser to the Mac OS X and Linux operating systems.
